
Ekiti State University (EKSU) is a public university located in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. It was founded in 1982 and offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. EKSU also offers part-time degree programs for working candidates.

To be eligible for admission into the EKSU part-time degree program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Admission Requirements for Five Years Courses

Applicants must possess five (5) credit passes in Olevel/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB. The passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other subjects from Geography, Government, Principles of Account. Commerce, History Business Studies, Tourism, Civic Education, Yoruba, Hospítality Management, Computer Studies
- B.Sc. Entrepreneurial Studies
Five (5) credit passes in ‘O’Level/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB. The passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and other subjects from Geography, Government, History, Business Studies, Tourism, Civic Education, Yoruba, Hospitality Management, and Computer Studies.
- B.Sc. Economics
Five (5) credit passes in Olevel/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in Mathematics, Economics, English Language, and two other subjects must be from the Social Sciences.
- B.Sc. Sociology
Five (5) credit passes in Olevel/SCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English language, Mathematics, any two Social Science subjects and any other subject.
- B.Sc. Psychology and Behavioral Studies
Five (5) credit passes in ‘Olevel/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two subjects, one of which must be a Social science subject.
- B.Sc. Geography and Planning Science
Five (5) 0-level credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in Mathematics, English Language, Geography and two other subjects must be from the Social Sciences.
- B.Sc. Political Science
Five (5) O-level credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in Mathematics, English Language, Government and two other subjects, one of which must be a Social Science subject.
- B.A. History and International Studies
Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English language, History/Government and three other subjects, one of which must be one of the Arts subjects.

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English language and any other four subjects
- B.A. Philosophy
Five (5)’Olevel credit passes in five subjects in the SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examination in English Language, with at least a Pass in Mathematics and credit passes in any four other subjects
- B. A. English and Literary Studies
Five (5)’0level credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English Language and Literature in English and any three subjects from Yoruba, Government, History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, Hausa, Igbo, Mathematics, Economics and Civic Education.

Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English and any other four subjects.
- B. Sc. Mathematics
Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examination in English language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science.
- B. Sc. Statistics
Five (5) O’level credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two other subjects from Biology, agricultural science, Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Government and Civic Education.
- B. Sc. Environmental Management
Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations in English language Mathematics. Geography and two other subjects, one of which must be from the Social/Management Science
- B. Sc. Tourism and Hospitality Management
Five (5) ‘Olevel credit passes in SSCE/GCENABTEB Examinations in English language, Mathematics and any other three subjects, two of which must be from the Faculties of Science, Management and Social Sciences.
Admission Requirements for Four Years Courses
Applicants must possess the O’Level requirements as contained in i-xxii for the intended programme of study. In addition, candidates must have either of:
- National Diploma in relevant disciplines with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized institution
- At least two GCE/A level passes in relevant subjects.
- Higher National Diploma in appropriate fields with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized institution.
Entry Requirements for Top Up Programme
Applicants must possess the OLevel admission requirements for the intended programmes of study.
In addition, candidates must possess at least a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized institution or a first degree in a relevant field from a recognized University.
How to Apply
The EKSU part-time admission form is available online. To apply, candidates must follow these steps:
- Go to the University Portal: http://eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng
- Click on Apply for admission.
- Enter your details to create a new sign-in account
- On successful login to your dashboard, locate and click on PART-TIME APPLICATION.
- Proceed to make payment on REMITA-
- Visit the University website for guidelines on how to pay for PARTTIME APPLICATION on REMITA.
- After completing step 5, enter your RRR on the Portal to confirm payment
- Proceed to fill out your biodata and print out your screening sheet after completion.
Note
The O’Level requirements for all courses must be obtained at at least two sittings.
All advertised programmes run on a PART-TIME basis, i.e. on Weekends and Weekdays, except for B.Sc. Computer Science that runs on Weekdays only.
All duly completed applications must be submitted within six weeks from the date of this advertisement.
